Gun honors, Keith joins the "Headhunters" and becomes a Juvat in the 80th Tactical Fighter squadron at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. Section 4:Shortly after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait on 2 August 1990, a large contingent of U.S. Air Force aircraft began to deploy to bases scattered across
the Middle East. Visit this section to see what some of the different aircraft look like. Section 5:The F-16s of the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing arrive at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates at the end of August 1990. Operation Desert Shield had just begun. Section 6:Operation Desert Storm began on 17 January 1991. This section contains pictures of some of the pilots who were members of the 421st Tactical Fighter Squadron - the Black Widows. Section 7:Operation Desert Storm has ended. Kuwait has been liberated and the American-led coalition has won the war against Iraq. The time has come to lay down our weapons and return home to loved ones. | |
